Actor Sherman Hemsley was in Harrisburg, PA September 11, 2009 to star in the stage play "Driving Miss Daisy" and to speak to students and area residents about stopping the violence in Harrisburg. His visit was sponsored by the United Way of the Capital Region, the Camp Curtin YMCA, and the Hillegas Production Company.

The visit of Dr. and Mrs Asante to Imani African Christian Church to see the eight African College students who were working in the Harrisburg area for the Summer of 2008.

Dr. Molife Asante is the most prolific Scholar of African and African American History in the world. He is also pictured with his wife, the organizer of the Shake Ante-Diop Conference, Paul Carey, Director of the Sankofa 21 organization, and Nana a college student from Ghana, Africa, whose father is one of the primary Chiefs in Ghana.
